Unusual Tables

I have several unusual items I use as tables.  One of them is this old apple crate.  Our home was built where an apple orchard once existed, and this crate was one used by the orchard owner.  I just love this old crate.

Here I used it in the breakfast nook.

This wall is still decorated with grape motif items.    These items are from Kirklands several years ago.

You may remember the lamp shade cover I made of burlap.

This plant stand is used in the guest bath to hold wash cloths, tissue, and a book.

This little bench is used as a table here.

Here this vintage step stool serves as a table of sorts, holding a floral arrangement.

A chair can be used as a table for a plant to sit or to hold a vignette.

  3. You are so creative. I have a small apple crate...maybe I'll copy you a bit. Your step stool reminds me of one my grandma had next to the door everyone used to use when they put their shoes on and off. I enjoy your blog!

  5. How lucky you are to have that orchard crate. You display it nicely.
The apple orchards were hit hard this spring with a heavy frost. Not one of our apple trees produced fruit this year.
