I've placed a few subtle touches of Christmas around the house and am sharing them with you today. If you are a follower, you know that I'm teaching myself to paint. I had this canvas that I had painted that looked horrible, so Saturday night I gessoed the entire thing so I could paint over it. I left it to dry overnight, and had no idea what I would paint on it. I went down to my little basement craft area yesterday afternoon, and began painting. First I laid down a green and antique white (blended) background. Once that dried, I took some cardboard letters I had and tried to spell out " Merry Christmas" with them. I was missing letters, so I looked for a word that I did have all the letters for, and came up with 'noel'. I hot glued them to the canvas. and began painting. I placed a bunch of holly and berries in the corner underneath 'noel'. Then I painted 2 ornaments on, and then I added the tree limbs to the painting. ...
