Shabby Chic Makeover

I bought this chair at a moving sale some time back for $15.00.  I love the engraving on it, and the needlepoint seat, but still, it was looking so tired and drab.  It cost so little, I knew it would be alright to paint it.  I have a bottle of Chalk Paint that is called Ballet Slippers. It's pink as you would expect. Early yesterday morning, I decided a quick project was in order, so I placed an old towel underneath the chair, and got busy. I removed the seat, and started painting.  First, I painted the pieces across the back white, being sure to not paint so heavy that the engraved area would be covered too much. Then I painted the remainder of the chair in pink, and left it to dry.   My daughter, granddaughters and I went shopping, so I picked up 3/4 yards of this lovely fabric at Joann's for $2.25.  The pink in the fabric works well with the paint, and the teal color is the same as the walls in this room.
