Sharing Shadymont, My Mountain Cottage

It's less than a month until Valentine's Day, so I brought a few items into my décor.  I have used all of these in former years, but in different places. I love to decorate the bookcase in the dining room.  Painting this bookcase white was my first chalk paint project.  One of the doors that I painted and distressed stands behind the bookcase adding to the vintage appeal.  The little shelf holds a DT doily, and a small candy tin, as well as a glass heart tea light holder I've had for years.  The foil heart also came from DT. While at our lake home for the last week, I really took advantage of being lazy.  I remembered a heart shaped pillow that I had there and added it to the bed in the master.   Simple valentine decor!  No work required, just moved it from one room to another.  :)  It's eyelet material with eyelet lace.  So cute!  It belonged to my MIL, so I have no idea how old it is.   My other quick project was adding burlap ribbon to this wreath that hangs in the master bedroom too. I made this wreath a long time ago by just attaching a short rose garland to a grapevine wreath, and adding a bow. I had brought a spool of burlap ribbon with me, so i removed the gold ribbon, and just weaved the burlap in and out of the flowers. Made a simple bow for it and viola!  Done! One of my favorite areas to decorate at our home in the mountains,  is the wall in the entry.  Here is what I did for Valentines Day. I simply moved a pot of roses, and two candlesticks to the table.  They blend with the lampshade.  A picture made on our wedding day sits on the shelf in a frame with a heart-shaped opening.  I found this at consignment.  Above the shelf and picture of the chapel is a large space.  What to put there????  While rummaging in the basement to get the other Valentine's decor, I grabbed these three bushes of geraniums.  They've been used for years now, mostly outside, but still look fairly good.  So I took one of them apart, and wired them all together with a pipecleaner, put a red bow on it, and a few wiry valentine garland sprigs, and viola!!
