Fall Decor in the Entry

I last showed you the fall decor in the dining room.  The entry table/wall got a new fall look as well.  My entry has a large opening on the right to the dining room, and the powder room is on the left, so there's not much wall space.  There is about a 4 ft. wall facing the front door, so I decorate it as the entry.  
This is what I used for this year's Fall entry table.  Nothing is new. Notice the rattan wine box with Fall picks in it.  Well, true to form, that got changed.  While at the consignment shop the other day, I picked up this small burlap bag for $3.50.
I moved the flowers into the burlap bag.

It stayed this way overnight.

The next morning I was decided to change the bag.  I worked a little magic on it, and here it is now!
This was an easy ten minute project!
I think it turned out really cute.  I already had the paints and stencil.

I am so pleased with the final look.




Well there you have it, the entry way all autumnized!!  I love it!

What's in the Hutch?

Linens & Things

I love finding tablecloths, runners, napkins, and other linens when I am out thrifting. Whether it be at consignment shops, GW, or yard sales, I will usually snap up a pretty linen if it doesn't have a lot of stains.  I will show you some of my favorites. I found several pieces embroideried with this design at a favorite consignment shop. This blue runner (reversible to stripes), found on consignment. This is one of the nicer quality tablecloths I have found, $4.00 at a thrift store. This cloth was around $10.00 on consignment. This runner is also reversible to polka dots, and was a consignment find. This pink and white gingham is perfect in the sun room, and is a consignment find also. This is the most valuable table cloth I have found, and it was $2.00 at a nearby yard sale.  It is a vintage Wielunder.  They sell on ebay for 30 - 90 dollars.  Mine is in pristine condition! Table for Two

 This is what the table in the sun room looked like yesterday.  I was organizing my napkins, runners, etc., and came across the red items, so I decided to make the table a totally valentine table and changed out the napkins and plates.  :)  I also placed a lovely cupids figurine under the dome I made from Habitat items. The windows in this room face the East and look out on to a view of gentle  rolling hills. The morning sun streams in and warms the room.  I have had this little cupids piece for a very long time.  I think I got it at Eckerd Drugs years ago.  It's not even Eckerd Drugs anymore.  It's now Rite Aid. I think they had cuter things a long time ago than they do now. The flowers in this bouquet are from Dollar Tree, as is the ribbon and garland.  I received roses from my husband in the vase a number of years ago.  The little red bird nest is an old Christmas decoration.  I've probably had it for 25 years or more....
