Here are some of the ways I've decorated my mantel recently. I'm always changing it. Not just at holidays, or for each season, but all the time. It's a great focal point in my family room, so I like to keep it looking fresh.
The mantel is one of my favorite places to decorate. Currently it is decorated in green and white. (as in the first, second, and last photos)
Prior to this, I decorated it with white items. I used a half-moon shaped picture, the mitre box I painted white ($1.00 yard sale find/third, fourth, and fifth photos), and of course my little white birds. They are easily worked into most of the themes I come up with.
Shortly after Christmas, I decorated with the cranberry colored candlesticks and platter. (seventh and eighth photos)
I also recently had it decorated with the tulips picture and the silver footed bon-bon dish my daughter gave me.
That's four different themes in four months. Not too bad, or is it? Do you have a spot that you change all the time?

Ladies, thanks for hosting these wonderful parties.
Hi, You certainly have some beautiful designs for your mantel. You mantel itself is gorgeous and I love all it's many looks.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me, maybe I should change mine more often.
Thanks for sharing, have a great week. Ginger
I love this! That fireplace is perfect for rotating displays - I'd be doing it too! Lovely - all of them!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you have such a lovely mantle and it looks lovely in each photo. How wonderful that you can do a little rearranging and make it look fresh and different. Very pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI used to change out the display inside my coffee table each week, but more to drive a friend mad!
ReplyDeleteI love the celadon green look you are sporting on the mantle at the moment - very classy :o)

I'm so challenged when it comes to changing my mantel. I love to change my bed linens. That's my "thing" and Steve is pretty good about going with the flow when I tell him we have to move the mattress - again - to change the bedskirt.
ReplyDeleteShady,
ReplyDeleteHow fun to keep your mantle fresh and everchanging. I would love to change mine more often. (Don't tell, but I {might} still have some Easter decor on it.)
I'm visiting from the Cozy Home Scene linky party. I would love if you stopped by my blog.
Thanks for sharing,
Laura
I'm so glad you shared your mantel. I'm in the middle of changing mine AGAIN and needed some ideas. Love the current look....great for summer.

Love all the looks, but I love your mantel surround. Just lovely!! Thank you for sharing. Also, thank you for the visit and sweet comment @TheDedicatedHouse. It means the world. Wishing you a grand evening. Toodles, Kathryn
ReplyDeleteKathy, your fireplace is very pretty. It is very similar to ours but ours has black marble where yours is white. I like the white because it blends in so well with the mantle. I like seeing how other people decorate their mantles because that is a problem area for me. Thank you for sharing at Your Cozy Home Party.------------ Shannon
