Christmas All Around

Today I'm sharing a few more pops of Christmas decor. (coffee table centerpiece) (accent table in family room) I found the picture of the old truck on line, and put it in the frame I already had.   A bird house I painted sits in the sunroom along with a snow globe from a coworker.   This paper reindeer is old, old, old.  I painted it last year. (changed) A spot in the dining room. Sign I made This snowman has lived here a loooooooong time and sits on the front porch...........  as has this Old World Santa, who waits beside the front steps! Matching wreaths at mudroom/garage entrances In the hall On the hearth Breakfast table Here, there, everywhere, it's Christmas!! Christmas in the Sunroom

I love sitting in the sunroom.  Just this morning, I sat there for two cups of coffee.  The sun streams in and the view is open, and it's just a relaxing spot to start the day.  I'm sharing how I've added Christmas to the sunroom.  You can see how the sunshine streams through the windows. You may remember when ornament hangers were so popular.  I pulled several of mine out this year, and am enjoying them again.  This one sits on a table in the sunroom. Along with the ornament hanger, I have displayed a small bowl filled with candy (bowl from Good Will for less than a dollar).  Also displayed is this lovely snowman made from a landscaping brick by our granddaughter-in-law's grandmother for us last year.  It's such a welcome addition to our decor. This birdhouse is one I've painted several times and now it's painted for Christmas. Nothing says Christmas more than containers filled with ornaments. ...

Christmas Snippets

Sharing little snippets of Christmas throughout the house.  Relax and enjoy!! This reindeer came from Michael's a few years ago. He's sitting in the family room on a (new to me) runner. Breakfast nook, simple centerpiece, au naturelle!  Even a sprig of holly in the silver caddy, and a DG runner too. Another recent thrifting find....the metal rooster hanging container holds Christmas greenery and berries. A tiny snow village in the hallway near the master suite.  The small wreath was a quarter.  I removed the ribbon and reworked it and fluffed the branches.  It was smashed and looked really bad, but for a quarter..... I couldn't resist this wine box with the snowman. A touch of Christmas in the guest bath. The scraggly tree decked in turquoise and white sits in the office..... on top of the pink stool, in the pink chair, beside the pink radio!!  :) Small touches all around. Christmas spiri...

Hall Tree Christmas Decor

Y'all know how I love to decorate the hall tree I found at a fabulous price from the Hen's Nest!  Here she is in her Christmas finery!! (night photo)   This is my favorite piece of furniture! Love this little red car (consignment).  I tied a Christmas tree to the top. The snow man pillows, added for a touch of whimsy!   The bottom holds a container of greenery (another consignment find). (day photo) Simply Christmas! Simple Christmas Tablescape, 2015

Since I didn't want to "set" the table for the season, I kept the dining room table very simple. I covered it with the "dropcloth" table cloth, added a red and white runner I recently found at Good Will, a large Christmas spray, candles, and called it done! It carries out the woodland theme with its pine cones, and flocked branches.  The center candle holder was a GW find from 5 years ago ($4), the white candle holders are the ones we all made from the Dollar Tree vase and candlestick!  Still love those! The runner was from GW for $2.92. It's nice and thick and reversible. The china cabinet holds the Nativity, and I added a few sprigs of greenery and red berries. This is the table I painted white earlier this year.  It sits in the dining room where it holds another reindeer, and a tree and greenery under a cloche. The table top tree is in the dining room as well.  I found the ornaments with the plaid and burlap, homespun loo...
